Introduction
Prior to undertaking workforce planning and the development of the emergent 8 step model, a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threat (SWOT) analysis was conducted by the workforce planning leads.
The results are collated here. This exercise was explained and run in day services, training events, workforce and MINDSET events.
A SWOT analysis examines the strengths and positive aspects available, It then highlights the weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
The Sandwell SWOT analysis was undertaken involving as many providers, stakeholders and service users as possible. This was repeated in meetings, day services and training events and common themes began to show.
It was decided to concentrate on the strengths and weaknesses and develop an implementation strategy that reflected them.
